Today

Sauvie island blackberry and nectarine pie.

Garden peppers. Love these colors. Not sure what to do with them. I'm scared of those little yellow ones. They look deadly. I'm thinking chile rellenos.

The view from my kitchen.

I am a big proponent of seeds. They take a lot of care to get going until they are strong, but the price is uncomparable to buying starts. Here are some very young onions, carrots, old parsley, and itty bitty lavender.

The Thai basil didn't produce much, but the flowers were lovely. This was a great opportunity for a basil taste test.

View from the back deck.

This lovely poppy just bloomed.

Japanese Anemones. You should get some.

The sky was an amazing blue today. Very intense.

Idaho fescue

Yarrow next to foxglove

Mimosa blossoms are all over the street.
